When
the Mexicas had their first encounter with the juices of agave, they never imagined
the dimension that they would reach under the name of tequila. From then on,
this mystic drink has been present in the big moments of the Mexicans. While a certain amount of people of the Mexican population considered tequila as a low end product, others always defended it, having the basis of the strong link between the drink and the traditional and authentic México. The Mexican Tequila Academy, completely autonomous entity has focused its efforts not only in the purpose to maintain and protect the real image of this drink, but to diffuse its culture through the activities that it carries out and promotes.
