The Taste of Tequila.

The Taste is performed through the sensorial analysis which objective is to identify the different organoleptic features of Tequila, analyzing and interpreting them.

The selected Group of people of the Mexican Tequila Academy, have received the necessary training to be judge of Tequila through the Taste of it, thus offering the public the results of all the Tequila tastes performed by the Academy.

Since Tequila is considerate by everyone as a Mexican product, and specifically from the state of Jalisco, the purpose of the Academy is to evaluate the Tequila according to the regions where it's produced; that evaluation is based in the norms and philosophy used in France, approved by the National Institute of Appellations of Origin, focused mainly to wine.

Based on that, we offer you a table containing the Tequilas according to it's region, and it's respective scores.

We start with our first Taste of aged Tequila from the "Los Altos" Region, in the "Arandas" zone. Located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.
This taste was done on march 31st 2001 in Mexico City, certified by a Notary public, the results were posted in this section.

Later on we continued making tastes, in order to choose the 3 better Tequilas of each type, until we made the great Taste of the 3 best tequilas of Mexico, according to the criteria of the Mexican Tequila Academy.

This allowed the lovers and consumers of Tequila, to verify in a personal and direct way the features and virtues of all Tequilas tasted here.
